Moreo was father to Moredo and both were reportedly very skilled fighters. Nymor came to lead a sizable band of pirates around 8042 when after a mutiny he seized power with the aid of Moreo and Moredo Quanis, two Lysene pirates who belonged to the same crew. He was also, by all accounts, a cruel and rude man, who looked at all means to achieve his ends, and despite his crude and simple nature, his wit gave rise to countless stories. He was a strong and skilled swordsman, with a crooked nose probably as a result of injuries in a brawl. Physically he possessed many of the Rhoynar traits, with black hair and dark brown skin, tanned from the long hours of sun exposure. Why he chose this symbol is up to legend, but most agree that it's purpose was to remind both his victims and his own men that he was watching their actions. It is noteworthy that as generations passed, known descendants of Nymor often changed the iris' color to match their own. Many of whom claim to be descendants, although many more just use it in hopes of instilling fear into the hearts of their victims. Whether he had living family is unknown, and the names of his parents are lost to history, though his cruel deeds are certainly not, and the brown eye upon a black field is still wore by many pirates to this date. It is known that he descends from lost Rhoynar who tried to follow Queen Nymeria to Dorne but deviated from the path upon meeting the often treacherous waters surrounding the Stepstones.
The first known member of this infamous dynasty was named Nymor.
Chapter II: A New King in the Stepstones. This work has the finality of recording the history of such an infamous family so that our realm's history may be better comprehended and to serve as a reference for other meisters when studying it, since few other foreign dynasties have had such significant impact on Westerosi history as the Myrosi of the Stepstones. I found obligatory to include this short statement in my book as it can me misinterpreted as a glorification of such life style. It is such that for every pirate who found success there are a hundred others beneath the waves. Accounts of rape, thefts, torture, kidnapping and murder most foul are aplenty among the rabble that call themselves pirates, conditions aboard most ships and lairs are horrid and diseases such as sweetrot and greyscale are common afflictions. The act is punished by death in most realms, and, for most men who engage in it, dying at the hands of an executioner would be a blessing. Piracy is often depicted by young and innocent minds as an adventure of sorts, with freedom, women and gold as its rewards mostly due to tavern chants and bard songs, but the reality is far darker, depraved and crueler. However, it is easy to deviate from it, and the easy riches crime presents are effective lures for many misguided souls. After she finished handing them out to my grandkids, she gave them to Orys, her brothers, sisters, and all of their children.īefore I knew it all the Baratheons had dragons! Only many hasty assassinations stopped Robert's Rebellion from happening much, much earlier (his son was ambitious and hated my because he was really Argella's bastards and I tried to expose him to my buddy Orys. The virtue of diligence is central to most septons' speeches, and hard work should indeed be the path both men of common birth and nobles choose. Then her dragon (I gave her one out of the kindness of my woefully undersized heart) had like five eggs. When i played as Aegon the Conqueror, I married my dragon riding heir to Orys Baratheon's daughter (she was a bastard with Valyrian features by a random, lowborn courtier girl). Either you or your children will likely either get a dragon or an egg. There is also a very small chance someone in the world will get a dragon egg, in which case (if you are that lucky, I mean with the number of characters in any one game, this almost is as rare as winning the lottery, it seems) you can gather dragon intel by visiting locations like Asshai, Old Volantis, the Smoking Sea, Field of Fire (Hammerhall province), Harrenhall, etc.Īnother way is to marry into a targ with a dragon.
If the Targ dragons are dead, there is a chance one will spawn in Asshai. An event will pop up offering the chance to release the dragon, try and slay it (bad relations with dragonriding targs results if you succeed) and to tame it (depending on skills, you have a high chance if injury, failure, and death by dragonfire). If you are in the Seven Kingdoms and are appointed to the small council, you can try to "face the dragon" if any reside there and are riderless.
